Dan Do

General Counsel

General Counsel

Dan is an active member of the State Bar of California with over 30 years of legal experience, specializing in cross-border business transactions between the United States and Asia, including advising U.S. high-tech companies such as Softech and Evizi on establishing cost centers overseas. He has also served as general counsel for several U.S. startups, including Golinq.com and Sapphire Communications, managing their legal affairs, due diligence, and licensing requirements. His extensive work has made him a trusted expert in navigating the complexities of business cultures and legal frameworks across both regions.

In addition to his legal practice, Dan has dedicated years to philanthropy. He and his late spouse were instrumental in developing the Friends of Hue Foundation, a nonprofit providing shelter and support for vulnerable children in central Vietnam. To help the foundation sustain its mission, they launched the Virtual Assistant Center, delivering project management services to U.S. companies and operating as a vital cost center for these businesses. Today, Dan brings his deep legal expertise and nuanced understanding of Asian and Western business environments to GoldenRock Capital, supporting the firm’s transactions and strategic growth throughout Southeast Asia.
