Chairman

John serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of GoldenRock Capital Partners, leading the firm’s strategic expansion in Vietnam’s rapidly growing energy sector. He is also Chairman of Eastpoint Partners Limited, an advisory and executive support firm he founded in 2020 to assist companies, governments, investors, and individuals in energy transition, infrastructure, ESG, and emerging technologies. Additionally, John is the Non-Executive Chairman of KREDO Holdings, a BlackRock company driving major renewable energy projects in Korea.

John has an extensive executive leadership history, including: Executive Chairman of Infrastructure, Utilities and Renewables Asia for Macquarie Capital; Chairman of Macquarie Group of Companies Korea; and Chair of Asia for Macquarie Capital. One of his biggest achievements is the establishment of Macquarie’s Korean business in 2000, growing it into a key investor in core and energy infrastructure.

Recognised for his contributions, John is a Member of the Order of Australia and has received a Presidential Citation in Korea. He also chairs the AKBC Financial Services Subcommittee, underscoring his enduring commitment to advancing regional capital markets and sustainable infrastructure.
